The shaft is always too long and digging into the back of my knees. They look nice and warm. And your house looks beautiful and "inviting".</p> <p>My snow boots had died, too, but I thought I wouldn't need new ones before late November or later. Where I live, it sometimes starts snowing in medio October, but just a little, and it doesn't stay long.</p> <p>However, in August (!) I saw and tried a wonderful pair of snow boots, even at a reasonable price. I doubted they would still be available some months later, so after a little hesitation I bought them though I felt a bit silly buying snow boots in August when people were still wearing shorts and sandals. </p> <p>I am so glad I bought them then, as in September I was invited to a much colder place, where warm boots were a necessity. And mine proved to be a real success.
