Washing leather gives it a softer more worn effect. I actually have some garment washed lambskin pants as well as some vintage leather jackets I opt to wash instead of have specialty cleaned. You can also put many of them in the dryer on low heat as well (this is especially good for lambskin leather pants as it does help them slightly shrink back into shape because they stretch a lot when you wear them. I do this with my AllSaints washed leather pants.&nbsp;It works well and saves a fortune in cleaning costs. Note it's only a good idea to do if the leather is meant to be soft and somewhat worn looking.
