That's exciting Lemonade! I can't wait to see how you look all studded out or with some tough Docs on. You can do no fashion wrong!

Isn't that what Angie was talking about a few months back when she discussed how her style keeps evolving, instead of staying in one place. I was so fascinated at looking at her outfits in Pinterest. While Angie has such a definite, recognizable style, her current outfits look quite different than her earlier outfits. You could really trace her movement towards a more minimalist style in the last year.

I think that what she keeps trying to encourage us to do. Just like everything else in life, things change and evolve, and so should our style. So onward to the Docs.

Sounds like you're going edgy - come on over to the studs and leather side! Seriously, I think you can add these elements into a ladylike look, like Goldenpig/Natalie and many others do here.

I was at a shoe store this afternoon and tried on low heeled classic court shoes, black pleather, comfy heel, space for insoles, classic bow and extremely cheap. I thought, hey, these might work for winter (I tend to go classier in winter).

However, they felt too lady like for my taste, boring and a bit granny like.

Maybe it's because I was in breezy polka dots shorts, which didn't help to add coherence to the outfit, maybe it was because it's summer. Maybe it has to do with the fact that I'm dreaming of getting tall black Doc Martens this fall. Maybe I really need some studs to add a bit of edge?

I just don't know where my old, classy, pearly girl with preppy instincts, a love for polka dots and bows is. Less than half a year ago, I'd have bought those in a heart beat. But now I just can't. I also said 'no' to a pair of leather black ballet flats at 12€ for the same reasons... I might be going crazy or something.

Image is not the exact shoe, the ones I saw had a bit of embellishment here and there and a bow -slim bow-, but they are more or less the same style.

For the record, I'm 24 and might be heading to the store tomorrow again, since I need to go somewhere else and the shop is on my way (not my fault, you see, it's destiny!)
