I have overshopped lately so I made a tiny order as well: black NYDJ Ami jeans, since I need to replace my current pair (too big); a Natori bra, to see what the fuss is about; and a rose gold Kendra Scott necklace, just for fun.

I felt most of the other items weren't of interest or duplicated things I have enough of. I could have invested in a pair of black knee boots but decided I could get another year out of the ones I have. I'm good on booties. I want a new trench but need it to be full to fit over my hips and didn't see anything to fit the bill. I have enough knitwear and tops. Hence my tiny order.

Shiny, IIRC we are opposite body types so if this dress doesn't work for me it will probably look fabulous on you. You have nice shoulders and look good sleeveless so the probability of this looking good on you is much higher than on me. Some reviews complain about stiffness so I think that part may turn you off.

Let me know how that dress works out! I was eyeing that one as well, but I recently went on an online shopping binge in a quest to add a few work-appropriate sleeveless summer dresses. I wanted to add three new ones, since I haven't refreshed this category in awhile.

I checked Nordies first but nothing appealed, as I'd either tried it already or had something similar. So I ordered a pile of dresses from AT petites next -- returned all but one. Then I hit Macy's and ordered yet another pile. I had better luck there -- they have a much larger petite selection. Well, I found one that was a definite keeper, and two that I've re-ordered in the next size down for comparison, one that was an oh-so-close but I returned it, one I was on the fence about but decided to return, and one that was a total miss.

Anyway long story short, there were a couple of dresses in similar shape to this one you're trying out. One I returned as it was a bit too starchy and ... the dress is wearing me, not the other way around. The other was similar shape, different fabric, great pattern. But I think may work better next size down.

This year I decided to try the Halogen knit kick flares and the Halogen long cardigan (both Petite), so yes, pretty boring. My closest Nordstrom store keeps shrinking its Petite Focus and carries only the ugliest stuff, so I am forced to order online. I've ordered regular size dresses and skirts to get a decent length, and sometimes it has worked out. I also ordered the dress below in XXS and PXS, and the description indicates little difference in length so it will be interesting to compare the two. I figure this could look really good on me or horrendously bad. I'm not into flounces at all but I love the menswear stripe and the possibility of wearing a white shirt underneath.

Interesting point Shiny, and I've noticed that too.

In fact, I actually bought a top last summer that was one of the tops in this year's NAS. Exactly the same. In fact, it was a top that Angie featured in a post a year ago!

Interesting Laura! But those two sweaters look the same to me, just different size on different models with different shapes?

I suppose they could re-do popular styles based on comments and feedback -- upgrading fabric, tweaking fit, etc -- but if it were me I might call it something different, or at least, mention in the description that certain issues were addressed, i.e., this is now the "2.0" version. Which might encourage those who returned for this or that reason, to re-order again.

Well, yes and no. The item *name* may stay the same from one year to the next, but the actual item changes. Case in point, the Ted Baker London Mereda sweater, 2017 and 2016 versions.

I did notice that not all items are new. Interestingly, I think some of the items were at NAS last year...

I don't have the Nordie's card so I had to wait for today. I've been reading along and saving my wish list. I like what I ordered even if some things were sold out already, but generally I'm a little disappointed in NAS this year. Anyone else?

Maybe it's because my closet is in fairly good shape already -- it seemed a lot of items I already have some version of already.

Maybe it's because I'm not as keen on some of the recent trends, especially ankle length pants, off-the-shoulder anything, and omg I am so done with fluted sleeves! I have one such top, I did order one such sweater to give a whirl.. but generally I cannot wait for this trend to pass.

Maybe it's because I shop exclusively in petites. As I will no longer order regulars online -- sometimes they may fit, but it's just not worth the hassle of ordering, waiting, returning 98% of it, etc. Easier to go to the store and try on ... when I have a zillion hours to kill. Which I don't these days!

But also it's because many of the items I'm noticing when I read the comments/reviews (which I always do), the items are NOT new at all. Some of the comments are dated 2016!

What gives with that??? Is it just me? Is it just petites? Anyone else notice that?
