White, cream, blush, camel (although if you're tired of brown, maybe not). What might be perfect is a white scarf with navy windowpane plaid, or even the inverse colorwise. I've seen a lot of windowpane in shops this winter -- I like it as a less "busy" alternative to tartans. They were just out to take pictures. I do have them more or less organized. All the scarfs on a hangy thing on the coat closet door. Gloves in the drawer on the hall tree. Hats currently on the shelf in the closet (and therefore getting little wear) but I got hooks to put on the hall tree for Christmas. (Can you believe a hall tree without hat hooks?)&nbsp; The biggest thing is to have them at least categorized. But I'm really not good at grabbing the best items, hence my question.</p> <p><b>RobinF</b>, I think you're right. I tried on the Halogen wool beret in ivory and it fit really well; I'm feeling the need for a neutral hat, so I might order that one.</p> <p><b>La Ped</b>, I'm down in Texas!&nbsp; In my defense, it's a part of Texas that's got fairly extreme temperatures. I'm thin-blooded and it does get quite cold and windy here, and my commute includes walking. So I'm okay with the selection. I'm just having a hard time putting them together with each other and coats!</p> <p>Solid color scarves... that's a good point. Come to think of it, I've bought only 2 of these scarves myself (solid pink and green striped); the rest are gifts over the years. That might explain it. What solid would you recommend?&nbsp; I see a real lack of navy, except for the small muffler. But a navy scarf will hide on the navy coats. Maybe something navy and white/cream, to tie in the other accessories?&nbsp; But there I go again, back on patterns. ;)</p> <p>I really want some new gloves. The green ones show a lot of wear, and the black are not the warmest. Navy would be really nice. I don't get rid of winter accessories -- I wear them til they fall apart or I lose them. So my inclination would be to keep everything. ;)</p> <p>My only observation is that perhaps you need some solid color scarves. You have a lot of stripes and plaid. Some of them seem too young or casual for my style now. A number of the scarves have a lot of brown, which I'm really not wearing at all now.</p> <p>I could really use some more hats and gloves, too. I prefer leather gloves now, for driving and for insulation in the wind, and I would like berets that fit my big head and cover my ears. But without knowing what colors to focus on, I'm pretty aimless. The T Tahari navy coat and the black one with the high collar are particularly tricky.
