But times have changed, and now I find that the Gap and Loft make some great cuts that fit well (Madewell fit great too, to echo everyone here). It's worth trying on several sizes of the same pair to get a feel for your size, and go with the advice that I got years ago in a premium denim store: don't be afraid to go a little tight at first, since the very first day you wear them they will loosen up. If you put on a pair that has any looseness, particularly around the waist, right off the hanger, they will often become too loose after wear.</p> <p>Some of the high end brands are really worth it, and some I have found are not. I think it's just trial and error. I have a pair of Hudson jeans that were expensive and yet I have to tug them into place after standing up. My favorite high-end jeans are AG. Their studio is in NYC, but i imagine if you had a tailor take your measurements. you’d be able to order a pair<br /> *Shopbop’s CH principle gf jean fits large. It isn’t super trendy, but very accommodating. It helps that the rise is lower, even though, again, it’s not trendy.<br /> *DL1961 has this super stretchy fabric now that’s 98% cotton, very soft, and quite comfortable. I have one pair of jeans that still fit and still like. These McGuire jeans from a few years ago.<br />I do have a pair of dark wash, sorta wide-straight with a raw hem from the Gap, but I don't wear them often.&nbsp;<br />I have some black jeans, but also don't wear them often, probably because of the overdose of black leggings.<br />I need a 32 or 33. I'm an inbetweenie&nbsp;<br />I like these ASOS, with the paperbag waist, but white isn't quite practical for me now. Though also there's oxyclean.<br />I went to Universal Standard showroom with Kari recently, but wasn't a fan of there denim. I did get black fitted overalls.<br />I'm also open to non-denim options. </p>
