Ooh, Sveta, I really like your boots with the BF jeans! I confess that I don't wear mine in the winter unless it's warm enough for skin exposure. I will have to try that way!

I can wear mine unrolled with booties (they are long enough) but if I want a rolled up look I wear sheer knee highs under them - works like a charm!

Mid calf boot it is! A friend suggested I wear them rolled but over a tall boot. Even the tall BF's barely graze the top of my shoe when unrolled, and I do prefer them rolled. I have been looking into roomier fits in straighter cuts that are longer. I find that the tapering of BF jeans is a little off-putting for me and at times reminds me way too much of the 80's, pinned pants, etc. Those were my glory days, though!

My BF jeans are almost long enough to wear unrolled, and I do occasionally try it...but it's not the best look. Instead I've tried them with a mid-calf lace up boot -- rolled up.

I bought my BF in tall, so when rolled they are slightly above my ankle. I've been wearing them rolled and unrolled WITH SOCKS with oxfords, the Reports Marks booties and Vans sneakers (for super casual). I like the look of the socks peeking out. It's kind of a geek-chic look, but worth trying. Perhaps your BF jeans are just too short for these looks, though, and better for the no sock looks of spring and summer?

I did shove my into the bottom of the drawer because I didn't know how to style them for the winter either. I tried unrolling mine, they just touch the top of my foot. I've been able to wear them with loafers and shooties and they look okay. I wear socks and they show a bit...not the best look...but at least I get to wear the jeans.

How much room is between the jean and the shoe?

I have a couple of pairs of boyfriend jeans that seldom are worn in the winter. The problem is I live in a cold climate and having my skin fully exposed between bootie and jean is simply not an option! I do not like how baggy the knee looks with tall boots and I am tall so there is typically a gap between the top of my short boots and the jean bottom. Oxfords are out of the question without a sock. Can I wear a sock or a tight? Argh! Maybe I should just shove the BF jeans at the bottom of the drawer until spring.
