They seem hard at first, but they actually have firm cushioning. I'm wearing them right now.</p> <p>We have a Scheel's too. I bought a few things at Scheel's for Christmas - slippers and a jacket for my husband, and a shirt for our son. A sales clerk walked around with me as we looked at clothing. I also went to the camping section to look at ice chests. Another sales clerk spent time discussing their merits (Yeti, if you're familiar with them), looked in the back room for a certain size, and suggested another store that sells them. My experience at Scheel's was very good, and I would be happy to go back there. I have purchased a few pair for my sweet and he loves them. I have also had very good experiences with Zappos. I ordered a pair of shoes and because of storms they were not able to ship the same day. Unfortunately, on this rare occasion I needed the shoes the next day and called to cancel the order. They were too small for my big feet. I returned them to Cabela's, a gigantic hunting store. I nearly bought some gloves, but when they opened a new checkout line and took the guy behind me, I walked out. I don't really need the gloves, and they don't really need my money.</p> <p>Back at home, I got on the Zappos website and found these Sorel slippers. Who knew they made slippers? Fingers crossed they fit. I ordered them around noon yesterday. They are scheduled to be delivered today! </p>
