I put a jacket, wrap, or another sweater on top. I also ignore the panty line problem. These dresses stretch out as you wear them. Often what looks like a problem in the morning, will be gone soon. Finally, wear tights and tuck your top into the tights, then put on a slip the length of the dress, then the dress. It helps reduce the lines. (I wear a lot of sweater dresses, and I like them, so I have sorted this problem). Asos has some nice black ones in lace and I like the combination of the lace sleeves with the knit dress. It is streamlined as you say. But I have a long torso and they tend not to be that comfortable for me.<br /> And thanks Ginger. I have the opposite problem to the rest of you because I love, love, love knit dresses but they are not very suitable for my climate. I sometimes layer under with a dress as in the second find (no line issue) or else I buy thicker, non clingy knits where this would not be a issue in any case. I have a free people thermal that I layer under the sleeveless knit dress in the finds and I think the contrast and cuff effect looks nice. And I am less likely to overheat in a cotton or jersey sleeve than in a wool or cashmere knit sleeve.</p> <p>I actually took the sleeves off a sweater dress last year to make it more wearable for me.
