I went to Hawaii last Christmas for a family reunion and had to wear a swim suit. It doesn't help that my thighs are the whitest part on my body since I'm always covering them up! Also, Why is it that men who mostly have thin thighs get to wear board shorts! Arggg.</p> <p>I read this blog which was really helpful. Basically the advice was to wear a darker color if you have light skin. Also, to wear a big hat, sun glasses, jewelry, and fun nail polish. I had so much fun finding nail polish to contrast with my plum suit - I did a turquoise pedicure. Then find a really fun beach towel - no Spongebob or Pokemon. I found an elegant orangy plum patterned one. Complete the look with an elegant beach bag, coverup and confidence! And we have a pool which my children beg me to get into, so I do, almost daily in good weather. I hate the chemicals in sunscreen but I do wear it. I also have a hat.<br />As soon as I am out of the water I put on a cover up. I take the opposite tack though and go with a cut that has a higher cut on the leg, creating a diagonal line along the leg opening -- drawing the eye at least slightly more up and down, rather than straight across the point on my body where I am widest. It ain't perfect, but it's all I've got. All the running, cycling, and swimming I do does not make the thighs of doom any smaller! ;-P</p> <p>I think the suit you've chosen is very cute. I'm actually glad you didn't get the white because I think white suits are tough to wear, and there is a high risk of some see-through when they get wet. I am wishing you luck!
