It is noticeable if you are specifically looking for that, but not from a regular distance. The silver rubs slightly off at the scuff sights. I am very hard on all of my shoes and scuff them within first/second wear ( I guess I have never learned to walk properly as my mother would say). I photographed them and emailed ShoeBuy requesting that they pay for me to retun them (no free shipping to Canada) and refund me my money. Instead, they refunded me the cost of the Docs and the shipping and I get to KEEP the Docs. So, I now have a pair of moderately defective docs for the cost of border processing ($23). I'd like to try treating them with some silver or pewter polish before ordering a replacement pair.
