The Sci-Art system does not take hair color into consideration when doing the analysis. It is based on skin and eye coloring. When I was draped with the whites, the clear white looked best on me. Cream was not as flattering and gave my face a grey cast.</p> <p>Amiable, it is so hard to decide which palette is best until the colors are against your face. I was amazed at what looked good. And those colors are FABULOUS on you! I got curious about it too when there was a discussion about it on the forum about 2 months ago or so. Everybody seemed to know exactly what season there were and I felt a little left out as I had no clue.&nbsp;<br />Rumor has it on the forum that I can wear any color. The truth is I just like so many and those that are not flattering are paired with more flattering colors. After my extensive online research I have discovered that I am a clear deep winter. (We're twins!). I also flow into deep autumn but I can't wear the muted brown tones -- or any muted tones for that matter.&nbsp;<br />I still haven't figured out whether I look better in&nbsp;cream or&nbsp;white -- mainly because I like both and will tend to "correct" with a flattering color. I have some training on colour analysis myself and the method you mentioned is just as I expected: your were brought to a room with natural light and draped with various colours on. In my training, though we cover the hairline as well, because that can affect what colours look good on others.</p> <p>I wish I remember much of my colour analysis class but there is much more than the 4 seasons. You mentioned you're a deep Winter, which likely means you have mainly winter colouring but your colouring also flows to another season. Back in the late 80's or early 90's (I really do not remember) I went to a color analysis party where someone came in and did our colors. At the time there was only the four seasons and I was deemed an Autumn.&nbsp;Some of the&nbsp;Autumn colors worked and I could see a difference but on the whole, it was just not right, but the process has always intrigued me.&nbsp;So after Nancy's' post, I started investigating and doing some self analysis which again was just not right. I found a Sci-Art color consultant near me and had a consultation the first week in September. What I found interesting about the process is that Sci-Art is not based on hair and eye color. They are taken into consideration but colors are not&nbsp;eliminated &nbsp;based on hair and eye which made more sense to me.&nbsp;&nbsp;</p> <p>One of the first things I noticed, which was much different than the previous analysis, was the lighting. My analyst&nbsp;had a room with a large window for natural light and white boards and&nbsp;photographers lights. I wore a grey cover and my hair was covered in a grey cover. The analyst was also in the same grey colored lab coat. How drapes affected my skin tone and eyes were the only considerations. In the end,&nbsp;we determined that I am a Deep Winter. Who would have guessed. But I will say, the deep winter colors are what I have always been drawn to for most of my life.&nbsp;Also, my makeup colors were already the best colors for me. I must have purchased these intuitively over the years.</p> <p>This brings me to my WIW's since my analysis and the comments on my skin and how I look since September and why I find the need to confess.</p> <p>#1 - draped with my colors and&nbsp;my makeup (she liked my makeup)<br />#2 - my face after she applied my makeup (sans specs)<br />#3- my color pallette </p>
