I own them and I love them, but it IS a very particular look (some here on YLF have likened it to wearing flower pots on your feet!) and you have to feel comfortable with the wide gap.</p> <p>Maybe try the DV booties that Suz just tried? I think it feels better in the skin tones (for most). I sometimes get annoyed with mine (when I want to wear skinnies, say...). But they are SOOOO comfortable, and I kind of like the look with skirts/ dresses and they work great with bootcuts and straight legs. The ankles were laughably huge on me, and it looked like I was a kid playing dress-up in my mom's shoes. I think it has to do with where they hit your ankles - apparently it was at the very narrowest point of mine. Also the shape up close is kind of ... Clunky on me? Am I crazy? I know a lot of people here have these and love them. Am I imagining things or is it possible the voodoo of different people being different means a wonderful, versatile piece for most people looks wrong on me? </p>
