I could imagine that that works, at least as an accessory if not as a jacket. They turned out to be a glow in the dark neon yellow. The website looked nothing like the color that actually arrived on my doorstep! I've been a little leery of J Crew colorful items lately for that very reason. That being said, I like it in all the color combinations you've put together. I like the cobalt blue best, but the navy vest looks great too. I think you can definitely tone down the brightness of the top.
