They are usually all off in the rise, too short in the leg, too thin, ride down, etc. I'm glad you found great ones.  I have those plaid skinny ponte pants and really like them. I think some others here (Una) have them as well. I think Una's are sized so that they fit more like relaxed skinnies, while mine are skinny-skinny, but I wear them with longer tops and jackets, and they are really comfy in cold weather.
