I bought a pair of shoe stretchers from QVC (like these http://www.examiner.com/budget.....stretching ) and have had success in just slightly widening the left shoe of several of my pairs (my left foot must be slightly wider than my right). Good luck with the potato LOL!

Thanks for all the suggestions! Since I havz neither tiny ziplocs nor rubbing alcohol at home, I am going to start with a potato

Kirti,
They are really cute! I love the pleating. Seems like there are several good ways to stretch them a little. I had never HEARD of using a potato or the ziplock baggie trick so I have learned something very useful!

Yay! Try some DIY stretching before you pay a cobbler, but yes, you should be able to get these to fit.

Great shoes and definitely worth stretching. I've had great success stretching leather by inserting a potato that's slightly wider than the shoe into the toe box and leaving it for a day or two. It will stretch the leather without causing any damage.

Hurray! Great find. I've stretched leather shoes a bit by wearing 'em around with thick socks for a while, a la Christieanne's suggestion but without the rubbing alcohol.

What great shoe luck you've been having of late! Good thing you moved and unpacked, isn't it? They look so smart, those shoes. And now you can concentrate on COLOURED oxfordinas! :-D

Fingers crossed the stretching goes smoothly.

I had a pair of Me Too flats that fit similarly. Unfortunately, mine were not leather and never loosened up enough to wear. Fingers crossed that yours can be stretched.

Hi Kirti, if they are leather I've done this before: Fill a small ziploc bag part way up with water. Put it inside the part of the shoe that needs to be stretched and then stick it in the freezer! The water will freeze and expand the shoe slightly.

I would think it's worth a try. I have read this trick for stretching but have not tried ( a cobbler might be easier).
You put rubbing alcohol on inside of leather area you want to stretch - it has to be quite a bit to dampen it. They also sell shoe stretch spray for this. Then you put on a thick sock (like guy's socks) and wear the shoes until they dry.
I have no idea of how it works!

Good for you finding unknown treasures while unpacking

Hiding in my own house! I was unpacking and found these Clarks flats that I had bought ages ago. I don't wear them since they are a little tight across the top of the foot. Now I am thinking I can get them stretched? They fit the foot amazingly well, only the band on top presses down on my foot.
