I've had great success stretching leather by inserting a potato that's slightly wider than the shoe into the toe box and leaving it for a day or two. Put it inside the part of the shoe that needs to be stretched and then stick it in the freezer! I have read this trick for stretching but have not tried ( a cobbler might be easier).<br /> You put rubbing alcohol on inside of leather area you want to stretch - it has to be quite a bit to dampen it. They also sell shoe stretch spray for this. I was unpacking and found these Clarks flats that I had bought ages ago. I don't wear them since they are a little tight across the top of the foot. Now I am thinking I can get them stretched? They fit the foot amazingly well, only the band on top presses down on my foot. </p>
