Shoulder measurement counts. It's what your body looks like viewed from the front that determines your body type. If your shoulders look narrower than your hips, then you are a pear. If you wear a smaller size on top than you do on bottom, you are a pear.

https://insideoutstyleblog.com.....-pear.html

There are other body types on Imogen's website, too. It's very helpful.

How would you describe your style?

Here's a list of Angies' blog articles:
http://youlookfab.com/style-advice/

And just a few of many past threads discussing style descriptors:
http://youlookfab.com/welookfa.....n-of-style
http://youlookfab.com/welookfa.....orsmoniker
http://youlookfab.com/welookfa.....your-style

As Traci and others have suggested, consider starting with a bra fitting somewhere different than you've been fitted in the past. I'm plus-size, yet bras that fit best have a 32"/70cm band. Someone wearing standard sizes (e.g. can shop at Zara) really might not need a 36 band unless they're a bodybuilder with really impressive latissimi dorsi.

The "simplest" clothes can be the hardest to find. If you like white shirts, it might be easiest to have them custom made.

I don't dislike white. I just think I look better with color near my face. None of my tops or sweaters are neutral. The closest thing to white that I have is a blush pink blouse.

I think when you have specific things you want to add to your wardrobe, you have to really be patient and picky. I love white and it's taken me quite a few years, but I finally own 4 white blouses I like. One is linen (Everlane), one is a very soft brushed cotton (jcrew factory), one is a new Madewell boxy short sleeve shirt and other a cozy flannel with pockets. I wanted to cover the bases on seasonal options - short sleeve for summer, linen for spring, the brushed cotton for fall/winter, plus the flannel for heavy winter.

Definitely get a professional bra fitting, as Joy said above. Just based on your comments so far I suspect you need to go down in band size and up in cup size. It's very common that women wear their bras mis sized in this way.

Start collecting inspiration pictures in a fairly non-judgmental way. Just pull pictures that strike you without first thinking if they're practical, or suit your style or are out of your price range or even why you like them. Once you have a nice collection of pictures you can start analyzing for what it is that you like and how you can bring these qualities into your wardrobe.

As for fit of the simple white blouse, I think this is a curse we all suffer when we start dressing more mindfully. When we become aware of proper fit, suddenly shopping for the perfect piece can become so much more difficult; especially with a simple cornerstone piece like the white blouse. Tailoring may be required.

Best of luck! I'm excited to watch your journey.

Yesterday I went to Zara in search of a beautiful white blouse, but there wasn't one that I dressed perfectly. Why not consider a woman to be thin but have a little breast? I'm not one "increased", wearing a 36B or C - depending on the bra model - but in spite of that were tight on the bust ... These things I do not understand.

Actually, I'd like to open my wardrobe and see only clothes I love to wear. I've eliminated a lot of old and not, but the game isn't over. Sometime it's hard to find those simple clothes - like a good white blouse - that could work together in a beautiful and elegant way.
I have my own style which I can't ignore, beyond all fashions, and this makes all more difficult.

I found I was sticking to a uniform, which can become stale. All my pants were the same cut. I had duplicates in multiple colors of the tops I favored. I don't duplicate now unless it's an absolute wardrobe workhorse. Instead I look for a variety of shapes/silhouettes that can pair together.

For example instead of only mid-rise straight leg jeans, I now have high waist skinny jeans, boyfriend jeans, bootleg jeans, high waist flare leg jeans, cropped flare leg jeans, cropped skinny leg jeans, high waist skinny crops, etc. I also purchase several finishes and colors to add interest, although not distressed because that's not my thing.

You can always liven up a wardrobe with your accessories. Scarves, shoes, belts, bags and jewelry will go a long way to change up a look. You can test out a new color you are thinking of bringing into your palette. This fall they are showing a lot of wine, burgundy and reddish purple. Those colors are not part of my palette, but I purchased a pair of booties, a belt and a purse in those colors to update my look and keep it fresh. (Belt not pictured, but was purchased on sale at a BCBG outlet store.)

If you are bored, it's not necessarily because anything is wrong - like you misjudged your coloring or don't have a good eye for what looks good on you - but because you've hit the wall of ugh-I-need-a-change.

I personally go in color rounds. For the longest time almost all my clothes were red or black (or red/black stripes), then it was burgundy with black or denim, moving on to hot pink and grey for a while and now when I stack my folded clothes in my closet you can see the color graduations from red to burgundy to hot pink with some nods to purple and blue. Whenever I collect too much black I find my desire for dressing brightens in direct correlation to how much color I have in my wardrobe. You might need a color change up, some wardrobe updating, or just some fresh ideas for how to work with what you have.

I like the suggestion given to you above about taking pictures of yourself in your clothes in new combinations. When I first got onto the forum it was really helpful to me to post picture of myself and have other members tell me that I looked like or had a style similar to a particular person and then I could go look at pictures of that person and get fresh ideas.

Do you have variety and versatility in your wardrobe? For example, when Angie posts an ensemble on her blog e.g. denim, stripes and bling, can you make that outfit with your clothes you have? It doesn't mean you need to love the style... what I mean to say is that maybe changing up your formulas will make you realise your denim shirt is the wrong color and the thickness of the stripe doesn't suit you and so on.

I also love Imogen's blog and reading about color analysis, and both she and Angie are great about body type dressing. I think Angie is an expert on silhouettes and fit, and also what modern cuts look like and what to add to your outfits to look up to date. I look forward to your wardrobe analysis, I learn so much from everyone!

Angie says to start with a bra fitting to be sure that you are wearing the best size; hair style and eyeglasses, if they need updating. I find inspiration in Angie's blogs to wear my clothes in new ways like cuffing or cutting off jeans and pants for ankle length. Introducing a new color or pattern helps me feel refreshed. How about a little chocolate brown with your colors? Or leopard print? Or a neutral like gray ( there are many shades, warm and cool to consider). I can't tell from your photo what colors you should wear, but go with what makes you look and feel great.

I love red, first of all; then white, purple; black, but not too much near the chin.

My body has no changed and my lifestyle the same.

What colors make you feel fun and alive?

Aside from color,

- Has your body changed, in ways that mean your existing wardrobe isn't as comfortable as it used to be?

- Has your lifestyle changed at all, so that you need clothes for different climate or social situations?

In this period I don't know how to dress me: colors, style...everything seems to me wrong. I'm not sure about my contrast level, for example. I've always think to be a Deep Winter, but...now I'm not sure that all that darkness is good on me.
Any suggestion?
Thank you!
