They have graduated from beauty school but are still being mentored. My stylist regularly has one or two that help her. They do stuff like comb my tangly hair, wash and condition it before the cut, blow it dry etc.</p> <p>Perhaps you could see if the stylist that fixed your hair has an apprentice. They are usually much less expensive (all hairstylists in the same salon do not charge the same prices) but they are fully trained just learning more of the salon ropes and building a client base.</p> <p>When I was in high school, I went a beauty school to get my hair done all the time. Expect the process to take twice as long as going to a regular stylist. The person doing your hair will take longer as they are learning, and everything has to be checked by the instructor. Because they are just learning and really taking their time, I found that they did a really good job. They also knew all the latest cuts, styles and techniques. Of course, you are putting your hair into a student's hands, but they seem really well trained to me, and the instructors check their work during the haircut. I have been super happy, although my hair is pretty easy. Just think about what she had to work with and what came out of it all - and you seem to love it. Now that I've moved and have to start searching for the new stylist all I can say it is a nightmare and I feel like my entire appearance is suffering more because I have unresolved hair situation than anything else. No. It was also cut the wrong way (aka the right side was fuller than the other, done unintentionally).</p> <p>So I went to my mom's stylist and asked for help. This is what she came up with (not that she had many options). I would go back to the place if it weren't for their high rates. I mean, I'm not dying my hair or having it styled, just cut (not even washed today). yet they charged me with 38€, which is too much, I think. </p>
