Regarding how formal the workplace is: It depends. I'm a nurse and will be working in case management, which isn't bedside care, but isn't really administration, either. But administration is where I want to eventually be, plus I want to send a clear message to anyone who has known me as a floor nurse that I'm serious about my non-bedside career. So I'm going to be dressing more formally - and conservatively - than some of my case management colleagues. (I've been buying Ann Taylor suiting mostly, to give you an idea.) Plus, I figure it's easier to start off formal and relax from there than it is to&nbsp;try the opposite. I'm going to try to get a good full-length mirror (the one I have just isn't good enough) so I can take pictures every day.
