Carla on "I cut a fringe!" https://youlookfab.com/welookfab/topic/i-cut-a-fringe#post-2114918 Sat, 18 Apr 2020 16:57:07 +0000 Carla 2114918@https://youlookfab.com/welookfab/ LOL!  It’s amazing what you can learn on the internet!  What I did: -cut dry hair  -used a small, sharp scissors (DH’s moustache scissors) -‘chipped’ into hair holding scissors vertical  Length pulls out the curl, and that is the problem I’m having with styling it now, whereas shorter (3-6 inches) curls well, but ‘shrinks’ up about 50%!  When I have bangs cut at the salon, the stylist uses the end of my nose as a guide.  I pulled the hair that frames my face from ear to ear forward in small pieces and snipped. The blow dry and flat iron was to check for evenness and to see how long it had grown since my last cut (12 weeks ago).  I have no plans to wear it straight regularly - so will revert to air drying after next hair wash! I like it both ways, your curls are beautiful, but it is fun to change things up. It is easier to check on the evenness of the cut when your hair is straightened. Carla on "I cut a fringe!" https://youlookfab.com/welookfab/topic/i-cut-a-fringe#post-2114796 Sat, 18 Apr 2020 01:46:49 +0000 Carla 2114796@https://youlookfab.com/welookfab/ I helped DH trim his beard, blend his sideburns, and tamed his brows.  It made me twitchy and I cut myself a ‘side bang’.  Basically I pulled all the front hair towards the tip of my nose and trimmed off the ends.  3 inches off the fringe.  I was careful, and if it didn’t reach the end of my nose, I left it alone.  Since my go to style is a super short bob, it may all be moot by the time I actually get an appointment with my stylist and have it cut in my preferred style. <div>I blow dried and flat ironed.  The back is a bit ‘bunchy’ because of the growing out inverted part,  but I think it will be fine if I let it air dry curly.  Good for the next 2 months!</div>
