I think that's why my lazy style of clipping all my hair up onto the top of my head in a little 'pouf' actually works best for me - it retains the softness of my curls without having them slip out to get stuck against my neck in the humidity (like in a headband) or without sitting too flat against my head (which they often would when they're being pulled taut into a ponytail). I ironically find it *harder* to look polished when my hair is shorter, because the layered wisps would often blow everywhere (I remember I would forever be catching my short bob in my glasses, argh!) And I think we all know what happens to curls with no weight to pull them in a particular direction - it takes double the effort to get them to sit in a particular way &amp; to then *stay* there for the whole day.
