So decided to try new search which resulted in order from a Chinese online shop (didn’t find anything in the EU shops unfortunately) of a very trendy pair.<br /> Waited a month and it arrived. The jeans are what was described on the site, no surprises - 100% old fashioned cotton, almost like a pair I had in high school, completely straight cut and true crossover front. They are a tad too big so I’m wondering whether to alter them to fit better at the hips. And would like them shorter I think. All this fabric of the straight full length it’s a bit too much to me. Feeling sloppy with full length and a blazer on top...<br /> Wore them immediately the next day as pictured in #6 - black cropped top and short tweed jacket for topper - to test how I will feel in them. Today took them to the tailor for alterations.<br /> The second pair is high waist wide crops from HM which are not too wide and the rise is not crazy high. Not my first pair of high waist bottoms but def my first pair of jeans. Surprisingly I like how they fit, indeed not all high waists are created equal. Like Janet and Lisa P I also find the high rise more acceptable and flattering if the denim is not too stiff and has a bit of stretch in it. Tried other pairs with similar cut but in heavier denim and the fit was horrible. These are actually a bit small, but the next size wasn’t available and I really liked them so took them home. Hope that it will work out.<br /> This is just a quick photo from the dressing room, no styling (or shoes) here.
