I'm sitting on the airport express right now, heading home, and very grateful for three days packed with joy, interesting sights, great contrasts and quality time with my girls. And of course, the bonus of bringing back a very versatile and great fitting LBD. I've never had a better one in my entire life. The blazer remains in Berlin, and I'm very pleased with that. I've decided that a contrasting topper is much more me, more modern, and I very rarely do need a formal business attire anyway. I originally bought the black blazer and trouser (suit) and on the advice of the salesperson waited for the perfect dress. </p> <p>This is the magic; I was told that they match the dye lots so you can add pieces later. I still have not added the skirt but I may someday. We've been good girls and got up early, had breakfast in a cozy cafe before we went to the Pergamon museum. After that, we saw the Museum of Photography with a fabulous exhibition of Helmut Newton, ger/am fashion photog. Very interesting shots from the sixties, seventies and eighties for Vogue and numerous other mags. We saw the art exhibition "East Side Gallery", frescos painted on a piece of the wall shortly after it's demolition. This piece is among the few remnants of it. Finally, a little shopping was due for. New dress for me, and brogues for the girls. We finished the day with a lovely sushi meal, very tasty and inexpensive. It needs to give a tiny bit around ny hips to get perfect fit, but the SA promised me it would ease a half a size up. This dress fills a major hole in my wardrobe. I didn't buy the matching blazer, because I felt my budget didn't like it. Stupid decision? Please tell me what you think - did I do well, or was it poor judgement a) to buy the dress b) to leave the blazer? </p>
