You knew right from the start that it was a special piece and I'm glad that you decided to keep it. Sometimes things don't always photograph as well as they might, and black is always tricky. I made a point of really looking at the Burberry coats in a store near me. They didn't have the exact one you purchased, but those that were similar had great fabric and finishing. You could really see and feel the quality.
