Welcome to the forum! Kari has already mentioned some good shopping options and Tanya has linked to two threads with very good advice.

I haven't anything new to add at the moment, but if you like you could always post a picture of yourself (you can block out your face if you prefer) to get more advice about specific outfits etc.

The links Tanya mentioned are a great place to start! I'm not sure what department stores or shops to suggest for an apple specifically, but I've heard great things about ordering from http://www.igigi.com for sizes 12 and up and have seen people with some awesome clothes from there. Another plus is that it would allow you to order online and return if you didn't like it since you have limited shopping time.

Ann Taylor, Ann Taylor Loft, and Banana Republic all have specific sections for petite sizes. (AT & ATL go up to size 18, and I believe BR carries up to a size 14 or 16.)

I need help please!
Apple Shape
I am petite (5'3 )
Waist usually 12/14 due to larger waist and midriff area
Short waisted
Have great legs and a great bust line 36DD

I work out daily but have just accepted my body type. Where is the best place to shop for clothes that cater to this shape. Shopping is a disaster and I have very limited time to shop as I am a single mom with a full time career Any suggestions?

BTW...I am used to going to the tailor since my waist is much larger than the rest of my body. So I am used to having pants tailored and dresses tailored.

I just love a spring summer dress casual but can never find a good fit any suggestions? The dressess usually draw attention right to the problem areas and make my apple figure look worse and I am sick of dressing in black. Jeans what a disaster.

I do best with trousers or Jeans with a low waist. Jackets and tops that are short for my short waist and tops with a v neck to bring attention to the top..

I am not a mall person and dread the concept of going to every store trying on clothes that simply don't fit. Any suggestions on a department store or other store that caters to this type of fit. That is where do you think I would have the most luck? I am sick of tyring to hide my problem midriff and think if I could find clothes that suit my body type my figure would be best suited.

THANKS....any help would be helpful!
