You are a great storyteller! And apparently quite a good shopper too!

The color of the jacket is gorgeous. I have a couple of VC bags and I've been pleased with them. I also really like the Vince sweater, booties, scarf, etc. Enjoy!

Sterling -- the booties are wonderful. I bought them the very first day of the sale, really early, and they still had black. Also, the price was much lower. They were marked as part of the sale and now they're not, so... Not sure what's going on with that.

Girding my loins and brandishing my brand spanking new Nordstrom credit card, I plunged into this year’s NAS. I was determined to lock
in choice bits of my new fall/winter wardrobe. Because of weight loss, I ‘m dying to add interesting tops to the pants and handful of things I bought last winter.

The Eileen Fisher “Soul” bootie fills a hole. I have fussy feet and knees and… I LOVE this shoe! I bought a 10M, which is what I usually wear, and it fits perfectly. Trust me, they’re cute and comfy. Black bootie snagged.

The Vince Camuto Bailey bag updates my bag collection and relieves a trusty Coach crossbody from… well, the 1990s. It was time. The quilted bag looks even better in person, has soft buttery leather, and is perfect
for the theater or dinner in the city.

Moto jackets aren’t usually my thing, but I do love leather and the look intrigues me, so I ordered this Tahari jacket in Jungle because I have a nice black jacket and wanted something for fall. I was fully expecting this to be a fail for any number of reasons: wrong guess on size (I trusted the
size guide and ordered XL), quality, color, too young for 60ish me. Well… I’m leaning toward keeping it. The color is a soft neutral dark taupe that looks lovely with black and gray pants, and totally rocks it with jeans. The leather is smooth and soft, though not buttery or thick. The XL is perfect, snuggest in the upper arm but not too snug (I tried it on over a lightweight wool sweater), and easily zipped. I wish I could show a picture but I don’t have the right lighting or setup and the ones I took are unusable. But the jacket is a good option for me and if my husband gives the thumbs up tonight (because I trust his sense of what looks good on me), it will have found a good home.

Now I will sing the praises of the Vince Textured Crewneck Sweater. BEST. PURCHASE. EVER. Okay, maybe not. That was my gorgeous wedding dress, or a certain black leather swing jacket I remember fondly. But this is a piece of clothing that’s dead on perfect for my style and will be worn to death. I’ve already cut off the tags, hung it in my armoire, and named it Vince. The knit has a beautiful hand, is substantial, and the color is a rich navy. I thought it would be black from the picture—and that the coastal in the description referred to that blue peeking out—but there is no other layer and coastal refers to the body of the sweater. Black refers to the leather trim of the zippers. The zippers work smoothly, better than those of the Tahari jacket. I bought it in L because I read that Vince sweaters are sometimes generous and that is the size I needed. Perfect in every way. If I had to send back everything but one item… this is the one I would keep.

I bought the Vince Long-Sleeve Crewneck Tee in blue stripes because I think stripes are great casual fun and I didn’t have any blue stripes. Now I do. I bought this one in M. It’s a lightweight fabric (viscose) and a bit slippery. I think I would like it better in cotton or modal. But I still like it and will wear it often. It looks great beneath the Vince Textured Crewneck Sweater—yes, that’s the blue that’s peeking out. I didn’t even realize that until I replicated the pic while fiddling with zippers. So double win. Keeping it.

I love cashmere, so I pounced on a couple of those things. The burgundy Halogen V-neck Tunic is a nice basic. The length works for my 5’7,
size 16 body and hits just at the my upper thighs, which is perfect for me. The fabric is soft and I bought it in M because past Halogen items are now big on me. Even cashmere can’t save a sweater that fits me like a sack. This one skims my curves wonderfully and I really love the burgundy color.

This Open Front Cashmere Cardigan in black is nice. That’s pretty much it. I’ve left the tags on and will try it with some other outfits to see if it works as a topper to wear out of the house, or is destined to become my new office sweater, the one I throw on when I need a little warmth while writing in my PJs. The fabric is soft and wonderful on the skin, and I do like the drape. The lack of structure, though, does no favors to my well-padded body.

I bought a pair of camis because a girl can never have too many, despite what my husband says.

I also ordered but have not yet received this animal print scarf. I have very little animal print in my collection, so hope this will be fun.

Another order will bring the Trouve zip-neck sweater in heather gray and Caslon pocket tunic in a deeper gray, which I anticipate will be everyday items. I’m really hoping the Hinge Print Popover Top (horses!!!) fits. Same with the Eileen Fisher pants in gray. I don’t have gray pants at the
moment, so am crossing my fingers for these to pan out.

Thanks to everyone else who’s posted reviews. I know they help me! One of these days I’ll figure out how to take pictures of outfits people can actually see.
