(Except for the cocoon sweater. I think the biggest thing to keep in mind is that the sweater needs to be on the shorter side and somewhat fitted since the skirt is A-line. Mine is a longer (midcalf) trumpet skirt in a bias plaid with browns and greys and metallic threads. Here are some of the ways I have worn it:</p> <p>With a black turtleneck and metallic shoes (pewter ghillies)</p> <p>With a black blouse or cashmere sweater, black heels or booties, and a scarf that combines some of the skirt colours in a simple geometric.</p> <p>With a shimmery gold sweater vest over a black or white shirt, and black footwear.</p> <p>I don't do much denim.
