That blog looks fantastic! I hope you find some great inspiration there. It makes me want to try wearing my superhero shirts for things other than loungewear.

So in my searching, I found a new fashion crush: The Stylish Geek! She has an amazing wardrobe, and features lots of graphic tees in fantastic ways. My favorite is actually a dress, but I could see it being styled as a top with skirt. SO FAB!! Ok so the first one isn't technically a tee, but it could be... I have that exact maroon skater skirt, but I think that might be too short for the office. Weekend look!!

I totally get that you don't want to restrict yourself to blazers only. No culottes for you then;-)) And I'm excited about the denim jacket option.

Here are a few more ideas.

skirt or trousers + dressy cardigan + tee
http://www.pennypincherfashion.....ewear.html

bomber jacket
https://www.pinterest.com/pin/410390584767552915/

http://www.pennypincherfashion.....punch.html

https://www.pinterest.com/pin/123497214756898275/

With a cargo jacket or longer length cargo vest (gilet-style) and a dressy skirt or trousers (I've added a visual from the Banana Republic website)

Maybe layered over a light-weight turtleneck sweater paired with trousers or skirt?

Inge - the denim jacket idea sounds fun, it is on my list to acquire. I hate culottes lol. I do have several types of blazers, but I don't want to feel like that's the only way I can wear them.

Tailoring could work, when/if I have time which is hardly ever lol. Sewing is usually limited to necessities like seams that have come apart.

Missy - thanks for the links, there are some great looks there :)

Greyscale - I'm definitely not going to stop wearing them, I still wear them very frequently on weekends. Replacing the men's with women's isn't an option, if a women's cut was available I would have gotten that in the first place. Changing the neckline is possible, I've done that with a couple successfully, again it comes down to time. I do like the idea of making patches, I'd probably do this with the least wearable ones. Definitely don't have time to make a quilt LOL

To be clear, these are not *oversized* shirts we're talking about. A men's small fits okay, it's just not the same shape as a women's cut.

Here are some pics, maybe they will help illustrate the fit with roominess:

I also like the idea of getting some of them tailored (your absolute favourites, perhaps). And I do also love a graphic tee (semi-) tucked into a pencil skirt.

Oh, how about tee + culottes and pumps?
Or how about trying them with dressy trousers (as you mentioned) and a dressy leather jacket instead of a blazer. Or maybe change up the blazer style, e.g. a (cropped) tuxedo blazer instead of a regular one.

Would dressy trousers (or dressy skirt, pencil or other silhouette) + tee + denim jacket feel too casual for you? (perhaps a white denim jacket would feel less casual?)

I also love a graphic tee with a suit!

I also love your idea of wearing them over a button-down (J.Crew did that look regularly a few years ago, belting at the waist too).

I'll try to find some visuals on Pinterest.

I know you aren't sure it would work, but pencil skirt with graphic band tee is one of my favorite looks, if you have any tees that are drapey enough.

Search Pinterest for Kate Lanphear for inspiration if your tees are at all rock & roll. I think those are easier to make work as part of a look.

I finally gave away all my sentimental men's-cut heavy tshirts. They just didn't work on me - curves in all the wrong places. (I kept a few for the memories.) But, here are a few other ideas I considered for myself. (I didn't do any of them. Realized I should just stop wearing them.)
1. Replace the ones I liked best with lightweight, girl-cut tees with the same band/image/whatever.
2. Cut the crew necks out and re-finish the neck hole. Cut the sleeves off.
3. Cut out the design and use it as a patch on another shirt.
4. Get them tailored to fit.
5. Turn them into a quilt and give up on wearing them.

Tailoring is what came to my mind too. Or a bit of elastic in the seam on each side to make them ruche a bit for more variety (this would be more suited to oversized ones).

Semi tuck is a possibility.... Don't have any joggers, dressy or otherwise.

What about belting them at my natural waist? Anyone seen this? Or... What about layered over a button down?

I think I need to do some Pinterest and Google image searching, I really need visuals.

Last week I took an account of my wardrobe. I have over 100 tops. Literally, graphic tees comprise half of that number. Most are from bands: bands on our label, bands on a friend's label, bands we are personally friends with, bands I've performed with, bands we know peripherally but love musically, etc etc.

Since these are so integral to my life, I want to find more ways to wear them at work. (Brief explanation: I work in tech as well as advertising and marketing so a range of casual is acceptable) So far, I've only worn them with skinny pants, usually a dark denim, a blazer and usually a flashy necklace. Footwear varies.

What are some other creative ways to wear these?? The biggest challenge is going to be the shape - most are not tailored, but a men's small, so blocky and slightly roomy, quality fabrication for this type of tee meaning thick 100% cotton that doesn't have much fluidity, and lots of high narrow crew necks. I have a few that aren't this challenged (actually women's tees, better fit, thinner fabric etc) so those I'm not as uncertain how to wear, although I'm sure any suggestions for the others will be useful for those as well.

I've thought about wearing them with pencil skirts, but don't think they could be tucked in and it would have to be a fitted skirt to balance the roominess of the top. Maybe tube skirts would work, but I only have one or two I think... With skinny or straight leg dress pants or colored skinnies, I feel I need the blazer to up the business end of business casual. Could I layer a button down over instead of the blazer, unbuttoned? With bootcut dress pants, I would feel completely out of time I think, and bootcut jeans are out of the question - even with a blazer that seems far too casual to me.

Any other ideas?? I'm liking the idea of bringing this aspect of my personal life into my work wardrobe, but really struggling to figure out the actual implementation.
