I definitely live in an environment where we do snow boots, winter shoes outside and it is not uncommon to bring along shoes to wear once I get to my destination. Because, in my house, shoes go off when we come in, it didn't occur to me that I wear shoes all the time in friends' houses, etc. Thank you for pointing this out for me...and for the shoe love :)</p> <p>The Pear Shape, thank you for your suggestions, I tend to be more monochromatic but appreciate the idea to take advantage of the color of the shoes and the warmth of the tights to add some fun to my outfit... But yes, I see the problem. </p> <p>I think what I'd do in my somewhat extreme winter climate is this: I would save them for "indoor shoes" in winter. So, I'd wear my boots TO wherever I was going. This would allow me to wear sheer, not-terribly -warm tights underneath...and then I would put the shoes on. The tights might be nude, or could be sheer in another colour (whatever worked with the outfit). And these would be my party shoes. </p> <p>It's a bit of a pain to have to carry them around if you are going somewhere, but on the other hand, where I live, it's the only way I'd get wear from them.
