I like everyone’s super suggestions, and this avant guard piece is really interesting. I actually like the cream top you’ve paired it with! Could throw in bright shoes too. A deep red would be my next suggestion. Love the animal shoes. It’s a keeper.

I think the look you have is great, but agree with Ana that it would pop more with the same top in a different, bright (!) color. Yellow and red sound like great choices.

It could look quite sophisticated with wide-legged trousers and a fitted top or knit sweater in cherry red, teal, seagreen, lavender (I'm guessing all sorts of brighter colours would be good as long as they go with the pants) and then a great pair of heels?
Or with an A-line or wider skirt and ballet flats (or even with a girlie dress with a fun pattern).

I'm looking at the picture you posted and I'm thinking all you need is a bright shirt. I like the pants you've chosen to wear with it, and the leopard print shoes are cute. I think if you wanted to stick with the leopard print shoes, you need a bright shirt of some sort. If you're not going to take the jacket off (because it's decoration) then you could wear a bright T-shirt or tank underneath. If you want to stick with a neutral shirt, then wear brighter shoes and a bright chunky necklace.

Red would be really nice, or the right shade of yellow looks great with brown. That would make it updated for late spring too. Wear it with some white denim and a red shirt and the cheetah print shoes.

Hah, it's certainly not my good spelling day! The title should have said BROWN jacket! Too bad we can not edit the original post the way we can the replies.

Angie's blog entry yesterday made me remember this really cute jacket I have but never wear because I can not figure out how :(

The jacket is made from very thin brown leather, has silk piping and is lined in lace that peeks out at the lapels in the front. It's short and swingy and has front ties like a blouse. It's shorter in the back than it is in the front. The back is fitted, the front kind of loose. And due to it's unusual cut, it's doesn't really serve any proper jacker purpose ( keeping you warm), it's only for decoration.
I have included it's pictures as well the only and very boring way I have ever worn it: white tank, straight-leg trouser jeans, leopard ballet flats.
http://s300.photobucket.com/al.....%20jacket/

Any ideas? And please free to let me know if you think it's hideous, since it's by some designer ( Jack&Rae) I have never heard off my local consignment shop would probably take it very willingly should we decide the only solution is for me to get rid of it. Thanks!
