I second what everyone else is saying. I just tried mine on today with some Frye Oxfords and my assortment of dolman boatneck sweaters from Ann Taylor (last fall/winter). LOVED the look.

If I had a pair, I'd do as Rae said: rolled up above/over slim tall boots, rolled with booties, with pumps, and with flat loafers.

I plan to try mine rolled over my purple 14 eye docs, or rolled up above my doc booties. Might try some styles with sneakers too. Ours falls are pretty mild.

I'm going to try mine tucked into boots (a la Ceit), rolled up above boots, rolled up OVER slim boots, and possibly with heels, heeled loafers.

I predict I'll like them best rolled up over very slim boots the best, since that will be closest to keeping the same leg shape as the summer version with bare legs.

I was wondering about that, too, since I just bought a pair off of ebay (don't have them yet). I remember seeing someone's picture of them with mid-calf boots that looked really good. Thanks for the pinterest link, too. I'm going to go check that out!

I'll be wearing mine with any of my chunky Doc shoes (Sara oxfords and Danielle animal print) as well as with my Doc Marcie boots. For tops I'm thinking slouchy sweaters, long sleeve blouses tucked in and even a t-shirt and blazer. I think you just have to play with them and see what works for you.

Thank you! I've bookmarked the pinterest section and taken a look at Celt and Lyn D.'s winter looks - just fabulous :)

This is going to take some work for me - I don't have oxfords (maybe I should get some), and I've got the following for boots: Clark's Water Row, Clark's Buena Vista (heeled booties), tall flat black riding boots, black heeled dress boots, brown suede heeled casual/dress boots. I don't really have anything (shoe-wise) that you could consider all that RATE, but I'm not really a RATE kind of person. Funny that I should be so interested in the BF jeans!

Thanks again for the ideas and suggestions. I'm going to be on the lookout for good footwear to wear with the BF jeans in the cooler months.

I'm planning to wear them with rolled cuffs and lace up boots in the fall and winter. On top will either be a comfy fitted turtleneck sweater, tshirt and blazer or blouse. I'm loving all the 90's inspired looks that are out right now. I never thought I'd get to wear docs and baggy jeans and plaid again w/o looking like a fool!

I'm planning to wear mine rolled, with my slim fitting mid-calf lace up boots underneath. If you have 14-eyelet Docs, that would probably work.

I will possibly also wear them longer, with my high platform booties.

I don't wear pumps, but I'm sure they would look good at ankle length with some heeled pumps, too.

hah, GREAT question and exactly why I've been holding off on this whole thing. What with the 95 degree weather, I can't imagine wearing jeans any time soon. I'm awaiting others' ideas!

I wish I knew, VC. Maybe they can be worn rolled over a sleek pair of knee high boots? Or with ankle booties? We have to experiment for sure!
Now when I have this light wash BF jeans I may get a darker pair for fall...if we can figure out how to wear them...

I'm pretty excited about the BF jeans idea :)

I bought some BF jeans last summer without even really knowing what they were, and enjoyed wearing them with casual flats and sandals, with the bottoms rolled up just a wee bit. The jeans were a lot lighter weight than regular jeans, and extra-soft and slouchy. Loved them!

Thing is - they sat in my closet all through fall and winter.

I'd like to get some new BF jeans, but I am wondering how to wear these for the fall and winter months.

I tend to think of these as only 'summer' pants, but the thing is, I'm so glad there's something *new* to try...and I'm hoping they can be worn during the fall and winter months too. And, to be totally honest - I'm kind of tired of seeing skinnies everywhere.

I guess what I'm really asking is what kind of shoes/boots you might wear BF jeans between October and whenever sandal weather hits?

I'm having visions of a soft black turtleneck, fab BF jeans, nice belt, beautiful leather jacket (which I don't have yet, but will be looking for one!)...but um....what to wear on my feet?

Do BF jeans always have to be rolled at the bottom? And if they look better rolled, then what shoes/socks/boots would you wear if it was November or January?

I'd love to wear the BF jeans in the fall and winter too, just not quite sure how, in terms of shoes/boots etc.

Thanks for any ideas or comments.
