Trinny of WNTW fame talked about wearing a bulkier piece on top (I think she liked to wear a fur lined gilet) to balance out her pear frame. Mind you, she is taller.

So I am not sure! Can you show us a picture?

Hmmm, I always thought it would work better on pears too! I know for me as an inverted triangle, anything bulky on the top just exaggerates how big I am on top and how small I am on the bottom. I would think that in your case, it would make you look more proportionate. Maybe height/stature has something to do with it.

I just bought a Rachel Zoe inspired faux fur vest, but it looks a lot better on the runway and girls in magazines than it does on me, even if I were to replicate their exact outfits (don't you hate when that happens?). I'm about 5 feet tall, thin (about 105 pounds), but I have big thighs and hips (pear shaped?) so the bulky vest only shows off my large bottom half, and my arms.
Is there any way to fix this problem? Or should I just leave this trend to the runway models?
