Haha thanks everyone for your great suggestions on how to wear! Still I'm glad there's some validation for 4 ;). I feel more confident now wearing this coatigan in different outfits.

One - You look like a fashionable model! It looks effortlessly chic
Two - I think outlook looks cute especially how it falls on your body. With a small scarf or necklace, it makes a great complete outfit
Three - I love the dress and the coatigan but together, it feels mismatched in balance. If the coatigan was long as dress, then probably looks even better. You could try a belt outside the coatigan that can take focus off the mismatch and give better focus on the waist. Pair that with bolder necklace and maybe dark leggings, then it can look very fashionable. Overall, you look very young and pretty in the outfit.
Four - Seems to be too many colors all together. If you wear a gray top instead that's not a turtleneck or too thick looking texture, then this may look much better. You could also pop in scarf or necklace and it might be complete outfit!

Something you could try is an full length bodycon/sheath dark sweater dress. It would still be cozy and hide any bumps in midsection while also letting your nice pink coat shine! This would also mean you can buy more hip-length cardigans for more versatile dressing!

I like one best. You could wear the coatigan as a neutral, even with black or chocolate or navy.

These pix are posted almost in order of how much I like each outfit, except I like 4 better than 3, but I have no useful comments on why I like what I like. Possibly my issue with 3 is similarity in color of coatigen & legs, or maybe it just seems like too heavy a topper for bare legs & floaty dress. Does it work to tuck in the T-neck in 4?

Funny I would have thought less contrast, as in 4 would be my preference, and it's fine, but I agree that 1,2, and 3 look more modern.

What a pretty color and style, and it fits you very well. I like the bracelet sleeve and think the inclusion of wrist or under layer sleeve gives some definition.

I'm the spanner though, and like #4 best. Like you The pink is soooo pretty with the light grey and white. Very nicely done.

Joining the chorus -- #1 is definitely my favorite. The darker cuffs under the bracelet length sleeves looks plenty intentional to my eye. I think when you pair the pink with darker neutrals, it acts as a fun, interesting colour rather than a tricky nearly-neutral.

Oh my, you all go against my judgement! I mean I'm glad you like 1 and 2, it means their shortcomings were possibly in my head. Still, I'm all over turtleneck plus cardigan (or coatigan) this winter :).

I like the shape of the last outfit the most, but prefer the colours of your first two. I wonder why it works so well, but I think dusty pink and grey is a perfect combo together. I did a quick google search, and grey+pink seems to be a true classic!

Please read the title of this post in an ironic way ;). Just here to share my experiences with my particular coatigan and how I landed on a favorite way to wear.

I bought this particular pale pink coatigan I think two years ago, on a whim with a coupon from one of my favorite stores. Found it hard to style afterwards because the sleeves are bracelet length and the color - pale pink with tiny grey specks - does not work as a neutral as much as my true neutrals.

First attempts I wore this with grey but none of my attempts I found 100% successful.

Then with a printed dress and bare legs - still like this look as the bulk of the coatigan is set off by the flimsy dress and bare legs.

Now I've landed on a look with clean lines but enough interest imo: white turtleneck, checked pants and coatigan. In this silhouette it no longer really bothers me that the turtleneck sleeves are longer than those of the topper.

What do you think? Progress or not? Any coatigan pics of your own to style?
