Rute - chunky sweaters all the way! You've just reminded me I don't have any, I must go shopping and restock :)
I've got one more question for you, cape-wise: I've just bought this Forever21 floppy hat and I was wandering whether it would go with the cape? And if yes, what else to throw in? I've tried it on together but I kinda looked like a Mexican villager (no offense) from western films... Any ideas how to prevent it? Thanks!

Gorgeous!!
I would pair it with a chunky sweather, skinnies or loafers.

Ladies, thank you for your suggestions!
bj1111, JR - I'll keep it slim, thanks!
Jenava, rachylou - lovely idea! I'll have to go for a sweater and thick tights though, it's really cold here :)
Inge - wonderful suggestions, thank you! The cape hits me slightly below the waist, it creates an A-line silhouette but it's quite voluminous, so I'll probably have to stick to really slim bottoms.
Today I wore it over a black shift dress with a burgundy cardigan (with white dots), burgundy tights, black heeled oxfords and a mustard scarf. I'll try to take a photo, but I still can't post it

That's a beautiful cape! I second all the suggestions above. Also, it depend a bit on where the cape hits you, but I sometimes also like the cape + bootleg or wide leg jeans silhouette. I would also try it over a dress, or maybe a pleated A-line skirt.

Love the idea of a leather A-line skirt with cape.

I would do something like this, but non-leather. Wool a-line skirt, white or cream sheer blouse, maybe with a neck tie if you like that, nude or no hose, black patent round-toe shoes.

What BJ said. Pencil skirts, straight-leg pants, anything really that doesn't flare outwards. Probably boot-cuts too.

I bought this wonderful cape today from a second hand shop - it's this exact cape, only in black.
http://www.be.com/parlons-styl.....rs-339751/
Any ideas on how to style it? Of course I'm going to wear it with skinnies, but I would like something different as well. Thanks!
