Ditto what Janet said! I have several pairs and wear them with all sorts of footwear, and don't think twice about wearing them to work.

When joggers first became popular, I was following a YouTuber who styled them in various ways, even with pumps. I thought it looked so strange with heels. But fast forward to today, and you can wear them with almost any shoe.

Myself, I had a quality, jersey black pair that I mostly wore around the house. On days I was running out the door, I'd throw them on for work with my work tee, with pretty much any shoe--Uggs, ballet flats, etc. One think I did was roll them once, which created sort of a smart, chino ankle pant look.

All my joggers are olive with one black pair. Now I want navy. Navy is my dark neutral for travel and I have a plain unpatterned jacket. My olive ones get lots of positive comments in summer. I hope they still fit. Janet’s post reminded me that I have winter joggers in faded denim lined in fleece. They would look good with the navy jacket.

For fashion wear, I like joggers in fabrications that don’t look like sweatpants (I do have sweatpant-type joggers than don’t leave the house unless it’s a quick errand with a coat on top!). I just got these washed-black washable silk cargo joggers — they have belt loops and details that are a bit more elevated than the usual joggers, so they dress up well. I wore them with low-heeled booties and a printed blouse for an art gallery reception this weekend and felt comfortable but polished enough. For footwear, I’d wear them with everything from booties to sneakers to sandals, and I think they suit just about any kind of top that’s not too long and loose — a tee with a blazer, a cropped sweater, a blouse or fitted shirt, etc. I find them very versatile!

IMO, "joggers" that don't have the ankle band are so much more versatile than those that do. Perhaps that violates the definition of "jogger"? Regardless, what I am saying is that you can get away with loads of comfortable, athleisure fabrics if the pants don't have an ankle band. Unless someone gets too close, a person often cannot even tell they aren't regular pants. As a teacher, I do this all the time. I need to squat, bend, etc. and often deal with younger students who like to hug or touch - often with who-knows-what on their fingers. The pants are washable, stretchy, comfortable, and nice looking enough that I am not ashamed to wear them to work.

Here are some jogger looks from me. The last one, the BR joggers, are on a good sale and I picked up a navy pair. They do wrinkle, but are comfortable and a little more dressy than Lulu, etc...

How did I miss Mary Beth's post? Some really cute outfits, including #18.

As Jaime, Suz, Carla, Sisi have suggested, to go for something opposite to casual, choosing something more formal e.g., a blazer, glossy boots, fancy bag.

I think you can wear joggers with oxfords, ankle booties, sandals, sandal-booties or even dressy heeled shoes if you like juxtaposition.
I am also considering to get some joggers as Spring pants. Years ago I had a navy dressy pair that were so versatile! I wore them to the ground, also to the office. I often wore them with red sorta-fisherman shoes.

By all means add joggers to your closet. I war mostly booties with them. You could wear any closed toe shoe, depending on the look you want.

Oooh, Carla's outfit is fab--the blazer and column of color create a chic, office-ready look. I thought MaryBeth had shown us some, too, and I found a post where she wore leather joggers with low-heeled pumps: https://youlookfab.com/welookf.....er-loooong

(photo 18). I really like this look. I think ballet flats or refined loafers would work equally well.

Lululemon navy joggers are the perfect navy to ‘go with’ a stretchy blazer jacket. The combo has become my ‘go to’ travel outfit.

I do a lot of ‘column of colour’, pairing them with a navy sweater or navy button down tucked in.

Runcarla has a sleek pair that she has worn with sneakers and boots, I believe.

I have a sort of jogger influenced dressier pant (pleats, and cotton/linen) that I tend to wear with oxfords or metallic slingbacks, though I have also worn with sandals and low-profile minimalist sneakers and if they were in a more substantial fabric, I'd wear with booties.

I like to go for opposites so would avoid sneakers and try oxfords and would wear a more formal top. That said, I don't usually wear joggers and don't work in an office .

In an effort to expand the pant section of my closet I’m considering some joggers that look fairly sleek and come in several dark neutrals. I’m curious how other fabbers have styled this silhouette? The jogger style seems so athleisure-based but I wondered if there’s more versatility there than I think.
Can I wear them to my casual office? What footwear besides sneakers can work? Any other tips?
