How does it fit through your shoulders? My first reaction was wide leg trouser and the slouchy leather pants all the way. If the shoulder is more fitted and it's just boxy through the middle, you could probably do skinnies and heeled boots, too. I always find it easy peasy with cropped jackets to go for a column of color underneath, but it doesn't always have to be so. I wouldn't be surprised if you had to as well, because you are petite. It sort of reminds me of my Una Jacket. I wear mine with a fitted, longer top underneath, a slim pair of trousers and chunkier boots. The volume of the jacket and the chunkier boots bookend each other. And for you, I'd imagine the pairing of velvet and heavy boots would be perfectly fab. It would keep the jacket from being too girly.
