I could see this working in a certain way. Perhaps jeans with a chunky leather belt. Then a longer crop top that still shows the whole belt. And wrap your waist with something delicate, like a raw leather string wrapped multiple times.

I think the difference now is that it is two or more actual belts and in the 80s it was one extra long one. Not a fan of multiple actual belts. Looks a bit contrived to me. Each to their own of course. Apologies JESSICA that I am hijacking your thread. I will stop now :).

Looks like it might be a fringe trend at the moment? Here are some pics of multiple belts (2-3) worn primarily at the hips: https://www.whowhatwear.com/fa.....lt-styling

AVICENNA in the 80s it was actually one belt that was the same length as two. It would criss cross at the back or the side and the lower part would sit lower, sometimes on the hips. They were called Double Belts. Very often studded. I found an example. I had one almost the same.

I’m with Star. I’m usually open to new stylings, but this looks off to me. I don’t remember it from the 80s.

I personally don't love this look. If wearing a double belt I would prefer one on the waist and the hips. Although have not don't that since the 80s so it is probably not trendy.

I love belts, and had this idea to somehow create a way to wear two different belts with one outfit without them clashing for a bold, new style.

I need some inspiration from members here! If you try this at home can you post photos to show so I get ideas.

Ok so here’s the concept…
Start by wearing a pair of jeans or pants with a basic black or brown belt in the belt loops. Whatever top you wear, front or full tuck into the bottoms. What type of top to wear that looks best I haven’t figured out. The second belt which would be wider will be worn right below the bust area over your top. You could wear an open blazer, flannel, or cardigan with this. The whole point is TWO belts are visible at all times.

A friend tried an attempt, and I tried to design an outfit layout photo with a basic idea on the final look I imagined. Things can be changed!
