I sew and I think it depends on the fabric. I find that pants made with fabric that has less stretch and a more body con fit tend to ride up more. .

I definitely have this problem. It happens with dresses also. I thought it had to do with the fabric. It seems like stiffer fabrics with less stretch are worse and have more of an issue than soft fabrics with stretch.

I've had some pants do this and I find it unfathomable as well. I hope one of our seamstresses stop by...

Most of mine don't ride up but that may just be because I am short so they are usually a little long that it is unnoticed if it rides up.

Most of my pants, whether dress or jeans, are the correct length when I am standing but as soon as I sit down, they ride halfway up my legs if they are full length pants and about 3/4 of the way up if they are ankle pants. Does everyone else have the same problem too? What do you do to fix this problem?
