I went to a cobbler to ask about this and he was quite clear with me that there is no way it can be done other than padding them up well with heel grips and inserts. Try ball of foot cushions too to keep your foot from sliding forward.

I would definitely look at insoles/inserts. Gel insoles have a tendency to be thicker so I would start with those. Non-gel adhesive insoles/pads can be cut and tailored to put in a variety of places on the inside of a shoe so you can get the extra thickness exactly where you need it. Hope this helps.

I did something simliar with a pair of BLowfish willis booties I bought last year, they didn't come in half sizes and were too big - I ended up having to wear thick socks that top at the ankle so no one is the wiser. You can't do that though with the cut outs, but if Louise's idea does not work, maybe take them to a cobbler and see if anything can be done.

Could you try a full length insole? x

Hi ladies, this is my first post!
In my quest to find my personal style (i've decided on a little Rocker Edge!) I've been searching for the perfect bootie. I have Fred Flintstone feet with thick ankles, so this has been a challenge. I finally ordered a pair from Evans and love them. They are rouched booties, peeptoe, side cutouts, and buckle at the anke. The problem is they are a half to full size too big. Sending them back to exchange would really be cost and hassle prohibitive. They are still wearable, just would be more comfortable if they were snugger. One heel insert hasn't done the trick.
I know you guys will have tons of ideas!
