Give you the warmth of wool, but without the itch! </p> <p>While Smart Wool is really intended to be "gear" - for outside athletics - if you just want basic black tights, and something super warm, why not? Just be cautious about washing them - inside out, with black items only - as they can pick up lint. </p> <p>I have a pair of black smart wool leggings - without feet - that I would wear to exercise in the winter, under running tights if the weather was wet. They've picked up a lot of lint from lazy laundering habits, but recently I have discovered I can layer an inexpensive pair of cotton leggings (from Target) over them, and I get the fashion look I want, with the warmth I need. </p> <p>Smart Wool is not cheap though. Check REI or similar sports places.
