I dry mine in two ways 1) on a plastic hanger in the shower and 2) on a sweater dryer. I got my sweater dryers from Myles Kimbal, but here are some I found useing google.

Oh, in that case, I always hang my molded cup bras to dry on a wooden folding rack like you mentioned, but my cups are a lot smaller than yours, so the weight of a wet cup that is larger might make them dry in a sort of eliptical, not totally round way. Does that make sense? That sometimes happens to me, and when I put it on, I sort of have to adjust and remold the cup. I'm not sure if this will happen with this new bra since I've never worn Chantelle's brand (looking forward to trying it though). If you want to avoid this possibility completely, I would lay it flat with the cups up and let it dry this way, and then when it's mostly dry, you can hang it on a plastic hanger. The molded cups should be mainly dry and keep their shape better.

Nicole, I generally hang my molded cup bras to dry on a plastic hanger and it seems to work fine.

OH gosh no! I wouldn't put a bra in the dryer. I dont wash them with other items, and I was them by hand. Is a bra buddy one of those plastic balls that sits inside the cup of the bra? I don't know if they make them to fit my size. I guess I'm more concerned with laying them to dry. I keep a wooden drying rack in my laundry room, and always hang my bras to dry. But I don't think that will work with this new bra. I'm thinking I might need to hang it on a plastic hanger.

Hmm...I almost always wear molded cup bras. I wash them on cold, in a lingerie bag on delicate with Woolite, and they seem to do fine. I know some people use a "bra baby," which Angie has blogged about. I know everyone already knows this, but especially make sure not to put one of the molded cup bras in the dryer by accident (washing in a lingerie bag helps with this). The foam will shrink and warp and it will never fit the same again (speaking from experience).

The new bra I bought today at Nordis is a molded cup--kind of a thin foam like material, and it's an underwire. I've always washed my bras by hand, but I've never had a molded one. Any suggestions?

Hi Tanya,
I think it is totally personal preference but I generally allow 2-3 days between wearing and I wash after the second wearing. Even though you don't sweat, oils from your body get your bra "dirty."

Tanya,

Angie has written a couple of posts about bras. I'm not sure if she addressed your specific questions, but you might want to give a search. If I remember correctly, she encourages at least 4 everyday bras (or at least that's how many I have!). I suppose that could mean you wear one every four days and allow them to rest in between. I generally try to let mine rest a minimum of one day between wearings, 2 or more if possible. I have four different styles of bras at the moment, so WHEN I wear them depends on what I'm wearing that day.

I wash my bras every two weeks. That's 3 or 4 wearings before washing for me (assuming again it doesn't smell).

Now that I finally now my real size I am starting to buy some nicer bras, which as you all know are quite pricey, so I'd like to make them last as long as possible.

I know how to wash them and all that, but have two general questions:
1. I know that you should not wear the same bra two days in a row, but how much rest does a bra need in-between? One day? Two days? Can you wear the same one every second or every third day etc. ?
2. Frequency of washing- assuming it's not an athletic bra and not a lot of sweating while wearing it has occurred, do you wash yours after every 2 or 3 or how many wears?

I can guess that some of this can be a matter of personal preference, but I am looking for a good starting point. Thanks!
