When I came to Israel everyone wore white socks with everything. Eventually I got over it. I don't do it, but on you and your long legs it totally works. In fact, I have always liked white socks with casual outfits. To my eye, white socks look clean. Especially good if there is some white otherwhere in the outfit, as in both of yours. It still feels a bit wrong to embrace something you've spent your whole life sneering at, but never say never.  Jill, Aquamarine, Jane once I started wearing black and white in earnest it wasn't such a huge step. And loud socks are a great way to add a bit of detail.   Janet, Marilyn, I'll admit my first tentative forays were with a pair of Mr Edge's running socks, (only in the interests of research, you understand.) Quality matters - these are from a boutique in Warsaw and Falke respectively. Diana, I love telling my friends I've been wearing white flannel socks lately, just to see the looks on their faces. lisa p it's hardly a faux pas, more one of those things I thought I'd never do.  Angie, oh yes! I think the white athletic sock look seems very intentional the way you've done it here.  But my husband tried to get away with it recently with dark shoes and jeans and I sent him back up to the room to change.
