What a great capsule! I love all the colour! Interesting that the locals were mostly in black. Thanks for sharing

Rute, thanks so much for debriefing us on what worked and what didn't in your travel capsule. It's so hard to be prepared for whatever may come up without way overpacking. I'm headed to Paris and London in June, so your thoughts are a tremendous help! The shoe issue is one that concerns me as well. My feet are happiest in sandals (because of foot issues), but my back is happiest when my feet have adequate support. Not sure how to resolve this yet. BTW, I think your colorful capsule is fantastic!

What a great capsule! I agree with Jenava, be colorful because it looks so happy :D
Better to have the jackets and not use them, then not to have them and be cold.

Great capsule! Unlike everyone else, I actually don't have a problem walking all day in Converse (I always take mine when I travel) but I do put a pair of off-the-shelf inserts in them for a little extra cushioning.

I can see why you were colorful! But, I say be colorful...(-: For walking in Europe I bought some stylish sneakers (Naot) and was so glad for them.

http://www.zappos.com/naot-foo.....ay-leather

Not the MOST stylish, but a good compromise, i think. they worked well with jeans, and my feet were very happy.

A beautiful capsule.

I second Liz. Converse would not be my first (or even fourth) choice for a walking shoe. You could go normcore with New Balance, or I would recommend Eccos for a more stylish option.

I like my Cons, but they are for MOTG weekend errands. My feet couldn't take them for serious walking.

A fab capsule, Rute! If you are looking for a walking shoe, may I steer you away from Converse? They can be too flat for much support. I like Asics, but they may be too sporty for you. Maybe Ecco or Joseph Siebel would work?

Yes, sometimes we really don't need so much jewellery, but comfy shoes instead. Why don't you try the Hi Ness with the mini-wedge. I have them in navy and they are my go to shoe for a long day of walking.

Carter made me some really interesting questions about the capsule I prepared to my trip to Santiago de Chile.

I added to what you see in the photo:
two more white t-shirts
trekking gear
2 flats
To go out at night:
2 dresses (one red and one blue)
1 pair of nude pumps
1 clutch
Jewelery

I brought too many jackets, the orange was not necessary, it was hot and I never wore jackets during the day.
I did not wore the jewelery also. I was already feeling overdressed with the dresses, it's a super casual city!

I must buy urgently a pair of stylish sneakers (black or navy converse?). We walked a lot on the city and after a day walking all flats hurt. My feets were sore!
I was by far the most colorful person there eh eh, they wear a lot of black.
