Get the item IF it comes in the right color for the purpose.<br /> I am trying to remember that more and more, because I have sometimes bought a not- best item because it’s in the perfect color, or vice versa.<br /> At the price differences for my<br /> “ usual” retailers and sales, the cost would be acceptable if I don’t buy more stuff than I can wear, too imaginary or too much duplicating. So that includes not- buying even some great items in great colors so that I have room to pounce on something else at another time, maybe because fit changed or style/ taste changed or found something really fun or unique that I couldn’t have imagined. The consensus is loud and clear and the brown is on its way to me. Sometimes I am too much of a pragmatist for my own good; picking one color over others, when the function will be the same in the end, is always hard for me. I'm a little envious of those who choose the one they like best without having to think about it first! </p> <p>I know well enough not to buy colors I actively dislike (I can commiserate with everyone who's stood in front of an athletic wear clearance rack rolling their eyes at all the weird pinks and purples that no one wanted to pay full price for!), but I do still fall into the trap of fine-but-not-great colors especially for gear/casual.
