				<description>&#060;p&#062;Can you tell whether or not the fabric is knit or woven?  If it's knit I'd say the smaller size would be fine (I assume they are supposed to fit tight).  If it's woven, then it's a crapshoot - depends on the direction of the fabric, whether it's one way or two way stretch, etc.  On the other hand, woven is less likely to bag out anyway, so I might just go for the larger one in that case.

				<description>&#060;p&#062;I'm looking at a pair of stretch pants, 97% cotton 3% elastane. According to the website's fit recommendations they said to size up.&#060;br /&#062;
I'm normally a 42 in this brand, but that size has a hip measurement of 36&#034;.&#060;br /&#062;
The 44&#034; has a hip measurement of 38&#034;.&#060;br /&#062;
My hips are 38.5&#034;-39&#034; ish.
