Like Alicat, i've been wearing Fantasie bras which run from $75-90 retail. But i buy them on e-bay for $30-35 a piece. I scrutinize the seller's history, so far so good. I would never ever put a wired bra in a machine, it's no trouble to wash by hand in the sink using a decent shampoo. air dry on the line (or shower rod They usually last 2.5-3 years, it depends on how many i have in rotation. I wear three piece cup seamed bras, if you are handy and can replace the elastic on the band you can wear them forever. Moulded cups break down after a while.

Have a great time with you new bras! Nothing beats a great fitting brassiere!! w00t!! steph

I'll spend between $50-$75 for a bra, though if I found one that was really well-fitting for me, I wouldn't hesitate to spend up to $100 or more.

I used to buy inexpensive mass-market brands at discount stores. When I first found YLF, I went and got fitted, although it wasn't at an expensive lingerie store or anything. Turns out I was wearing the wrong size entirely.

Recently, with my new 'size' in mind, I was at the Rack and spied some well-known-for-their quality bras on super-sale, so I bought three or four of them without trying them on (I know, I know - kind of dumb, but I was feeling lazy that day)...I thought this was a great deal, but wouldn't you know that none of them fit properly, even though I bought them in the size that my new perfectly fitting bras were? Just as with clothing - it turns out that bra brands are different too. ACK. I didn't realize this, but then I should know better - it's the same thing with shoes. I can wear a size 7, a 7.5 and an 8 - depending on brand and style of shoe. I suppose I shouldn't be so surprised that bras are any different? I have clothes size small to large and they all fit perfectly. I also have sizes from 6 to a 12 and they all fit beautifully too.

I wouldn't order bras online unless you know the exact brand and the size you wear in that brand.

$70 isn't too much for a good bra at all. It's like with shoes - comfort and fit is a really big deal. With a handbag? I don't have to wear it on my body, so it's no big deal if I spend less or go for something 'fun'. With bras and shoes? Going for "fun" hasn't always served me so well....(laughing here - something about 4-inch peep-toe pumps for a wedding and a dress that was a smidge too long, and "fun" coloured bras aren't necessarily the most comfortable - you get the idea).

I buy bras from freshpair.com. My current fave is a minimizer from Wacoal (endorsed by Oprah, apparently, so there ya go!) that sells for $65.

I spend anywhere between $50 - $120 depending if I hit a sale or not. I wash mine in a lingerie bag on the gentle cycle in cold and hang to dry.

Usually between $50-$75. I'd be willing to spend more if necessary.

My bras typically last around 2 years using a mesh lingerie bag for washing and then line drying.

Because of my size (34DDD or F) it's never under $30 (and that's usually on sale). I wait for sales at Nordstrom, try my luck at the Rack and really like the Soma vanishing back which are made by Wacoal (one of mine had a Soma tag and the other a Wacoal tag and with a decent sale I can get them for around $36. It's something you wear everyday so it's worth the investment in the best you can get. I am still miffed that DH can buy underwear anywhere and it lasts for years (literally he has some boxers that I bought him 8 years ago that are still fine) and my underwear that costs much more lasts less than 1 year. (Bras I'd say 16 months or so)

I buy the same bra all the time, it's the most comfortable, flattering one I've found- I have 2 skin colour, 2 black, 1 ivory. They cost me $40 each and last around 18 months.
I did get 3 for the price of 2 recently which was a great deal

I usually wear Fantasie and Freya bras, which run around $60. I've had luck finding them much cheaper on eBay, though, especially from UK sellers.

That's about what a good bra should cost.....I also look at TJMax and the Rack, but it is a matter of luck to find my size and style in stock.....

They last about 18 months, with 4 in rotation, washed on delicate and air-dried....

Hubby likes to buy bras at VS for some reason and I'm usually there with him. Believe me, I'm a plain jane neutral type of gal when it comes to bras and undies. Anyway, I tend to spend around $20 - $50 on a bra.

Pulled the trigger... $300 for 4 bras. On the other hand, I will wear the heck out of them, so it makes sense. Right?

If my husband knew how much a decent bra cost, he would die. There's not really an analogue in the male world.

Between $80 and $100. My bra size (28D) is NEVER available on sale or at discounters.

I take very good care of my bras. They last for at least 2 years. And rotating them regularly helps.
