It always seems like there is another pair of shoes that I need. &nbsp;I think you are right on that shoes function much more like an accessory than like a necessary for most women. I swap them out all the time to change the vibe of an outfit. &nbsp;<br /><br />How many is too many, though? Anytime that you have so many that you can't remember them to wear them. &nbsp;For example, I think I really probably have too many right now because I just remembered a pair of bright&nbsp;fuchsia wedges that I need to photograph for my photo inventory. (A new and challenging task for me.) I don't have them out with the main rotation right now. &nbsp;I can excuse myself for forgetting them this time&nbsp;because they really aren't seasonally appropriate right now. &nbsp;However, if I forgot them for the entire season, it would mean that I need to cull. &nbsp;Oh, and there are the nude wedges too.... Newest are ballet flats that travel well.<br />1 pair Ed Hardys<br />2 pair cowboy boots I'm hoping to wear again, &nbsp;1 dress black lizard, 1 for riding<br />1 pair waterproof shoes for ranch/garden work (about all I could wear lately)<br />1 pair Boggs for snow<br />2 pair&nbsp;hiking boots, hope I can get 1 pair to&nbsp;fit again<br />Keens sandals that didn't hurt<br /><br />&nbsp;So 15 pair, of which maybe half are functional.&nbsp;Thats it. If I weren't a freelancer and living out in the wild west, I don't know what I would have done. But I probably won't buy more than a couple pairs to start, since I've never gotten into them much. &nbsp;There is one pair I have my eyes on at Zappos....no point ordering it...yet. <br /><br />Not complaining-the recovery is&nbsp;going much better than expected. The surgical boot, however, has zero fab factor.
