I am a SAHM and I have 11 pairs of boots that I wear regularly in the Fall/winter through early Spring. </p> <p>Four pairs are nice waterproof leather and styles that I can wear in bad weather or nice weather - with skirts or pants. 3 pairs are dressy pointy toes, so most of the wear for those come between Nov and Jan.</p> <p>I also have a fab pair of high wedge Timberlands that are very out of character for me. PreYLF I had a 2 pair of ankle boots, one old pair of mid-calf flat boots and one ancient snow boot. Today I have brown knee-high in suede and in pleather and an imitation suede that sees use in snow and slush, black short-heeled knee-highs in leather and pleather, the old mid-calf that have become slouchies this season, and two pair each brown and black ankle boots. Some of these are saved for cold but dry weather to keep them nice. Some get wet weather use. Some can be worn with thick socks, some with only thin knee-highs or tights. PPL is the reason for some.<br /> I don't mind several pair of boots because they keep my icy feet warm. I'm on the lookout for flat black leather riding boots and a light colored pair in grey or taupe. I'd also like a pair of red ankle boots and could kick myself for not getting some I had on my feet last year. Boots are dominating my sale shopping this year. I like Angie's advice about getting by with six pairs, but I wonder if people get tired of seeing the same ones all season!
