But my job as a bartender/waitress means I wear socks every day to work for at least 8 hours of being on my feet constantly. I have a hard time having way more everyday clothing than I have underwear. I am always aware if I am running low on work tops or weekend ts or my jeans or jackets are smelly, but I often forget to check to see if their are still clean undies and socks. </p> <p>So, that means sometimes I need a couple weeks worth, and other times 8-10 pairs will do. </p> <p>However, I also have to have 3-5 pair of wicking undies or extra undies so I can workout 3x a week (and have a couple for a fishing or hiking weekend). I need several pair of hiking boot socks which i use to hike in, but also under my snow boots for shoveling and iceskating in the winter. I also keep extra cotton athletic socks because I have chronically cold feet and year around I wear them in the house and to bed. I do though have about 5 weeks worth of athletic socks - I got on a kick a few years ago, to collect every single kind of D'feet sock that was made. Ridiculous, I know - but many of them I have never worn and so I give them to my workout girlfriends as little presents!</p> <p>I have 4 nude everyday regular style bras, 2 nude racerback bras, 3 regular style black bras, 1 black racerback bra, 2 nude strapless bras and 1 black strapless bra, 1 "cami" style nude bra.</p> <p>I have a months worth of underwear - including both thongs and boyfriends.</p> <p>I have 3 pairs of long black tights and 1 pair of cropped black tights. But lately I've been terribly frustrated with my fall wardrobe. All my warm socks seem to have mutated into shapeless tubes that get scrunched up in my boots when I walk, my underwear drawer is overflowing with VPL-inducing tat, and I'm thinking about just dumping all the drawers out into the trash can and starting over again.</p> <p>I'm just curious as to how many pairs of everyday underwear, socks, etc. people generally have. My feeling is that I should probably aim to have about 3 weeks' worth (to allow for the challenge of not having a dryer, which means that it can take a long time for the laundry to dry). How much would you buy if you were replacing everything at once? </p>
