My first choice would be the clear straps, then black. Like Kiwigal I prefer black or a colored strap to nude if it is going to show. You could even go red or navy or some other color.

I was going to suggest what Anna said. If you have a convertible bra already you can purchase the straps (I have a set with clear, black and nude).

I used to have a bra with the clear plastic shoulder straps. It worked well with these kind of tops. I just looked online and they still make them.

I know what you mean, I think if it is fairly transparent I would go with black and accept it, if it is opaque I would go with nude.

I don't mind bra straps showing but I prefer a pretty colour or black.

I've got tops with similar lace, and I've gone both black and nude without being bothered by a slight bra strap.

Thanks! I was concerned that the contrast made it too visible...but maybe I'll try it, and if it feels too uncomfortable, well...there's some motivation to expand my bra collection beyond the current two!

A black bra strap sounds like it should work just fine - and become part of the design of the top. But if you don't like the effect, try strapless.

I tried on a top this morning that had a lacy effect at the shoulder. It's not this top, but it was similar in shape and the location/opacity of the lace.

How is a top like this supposed to be worn? The one I tried was olive green all over, so my black bra strap was very visible and didn't seem like a good look. Would a nude bra work? Or do you have to go strapless? (Not willing to go there for a casual tee-type top!)

(This might be a really basic question...I know I've seen people in these, but can't remember how the shoulder area worked!)
